Hello, and welcome to Lasting Legacy's website!

For those of you I have not yet had the opportunity to meet, let me first introduce myself... I am Christi DeMoss, owner of Lasting Legacy.

I, like many of you, became passionate about safe, creative scrapbooking when my son, Justin, was born in 1998. I had done several cheesy scrapbooks in high school and lots of magnetic pages with pictures neatly labeled and placed in an album after getting married, but this was far different. This new creative approach had a deeper meaning and purpose. Thoughts, sayings, stories, and more that were shared each and every day of our lives could be creatively recorded and passed down to my son and his children. What hobby could be more meaningful and enjoyed for so long by so many? None, I think. So, from then until Lasting Legacy opened in late 2001, I traveled to various cities, shows, and shoppes with friends and family seeking out exciting new ways to create wonderful photo treasures recording the legacy of my family and memories we share.

Lasting Legacy was opened in November of 2001 with the love and support of my husband, Steve. Our goal was to create a shoppe that would offer the largest and latest selection in scrapbook, rubberstamp, and card supplies along with personal attention to each customer. This combined with a spacious workarea, relaxing, friendly atmosphere, and class instruction has allowed us to become one of the premier scrapbook stores in the region. The store has been a dream come true and has brought me much joy and satisfaction.

I quickly found that one of the greatest joys of owning a scrapbook store was meeting, watching, and talking with so many interesting customers about albums, families, products, and projects. I so enjoy the interaction in the store every day of customers with each other and with the staff members. Customers in the store are proud of projects completed and are eager to help others by sharing this knowledge and other helpful hints discovered during his/her scrapbook journey. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and willing to help any customer, beginner to advanced. I also love seeing customer reactions to the newest arrivals. It’s like Christmas around here every week! Eyes light up and often shouts or giggles of excitement can be heard when the perfect item has been found to make and finish the customer's ideal layout. I look forward to further developing these friendships, hearing more of your precious family stories, and watching your albums progress.

And of course, I’d be lieing if I didn’t say I get great gratification in seeing, buying, and selling all the hottest and newest products in the scrapbook and stamp industry. Lasting Legacy prides itself on having a vast array of supplies for everyone’s style and taste. It still amazes me how many new products have been created and introduced since I began this wonderful hobby in 1998. Whether your passion is scrapbooking, rubberstamping, or card making, I'm certain you'll find an awesome assortment of all the products you'd ever need here at Lasting Legacy.

But best of all, I have a wonderful career that has allowed me to be with my son during his early years of life while allowing me to grow a hobby into a business that I truly love. In my former life as accountant at Kentucky Utilities, this would not have been possible. At 5, my son enjoys coming to work with Mommy and creating his own masterpieces with zig markers on 12x12 cardstock and playing in the toy area. And away from the shoppe, he graciously poses for picture after picture and even lets me know when he blinks so I can take two!

I have thoroughly enjoyed my time scrapbooking and creating a wonderful legacy of memories for my family. Since opening the store, I hope I have and can continue to help, in some small way, each of you do the same. I look forward to seeing you soon!
